Tour: Reef Diving

2 Tank Reef Dive

Sharing is caring!

Every morning and afternoon our group takes a short boat ride out to dive on the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest reef system in the world. From deep walls to wrecks to colorful shallow reefs, the dive sites in Playa Del Carmen offer a variety of coral reef flora and fauna.

The first dive is usually a beautiful deep wall, on average 18m/60 ft, but some are deeper. All dive sites along the wall are different in its own way and are home to a variety of marine life. Deeper reefs can host large animals such as rainbow parrotfish, spotted eagle rays, and nursesharks.

The second dive is a shallow reef full of colors and life. There are many beautiful reefs with different coral formations and marine life to explore and enjoy the clear waters of the Mayan Riviera.

Colorful coral and sponges, king crab, great green moray eels, southern sting rays, barracuda, hawksbill turtles, green turtles, loggerheads, huge schools of porkfish, snapper, and grunts, lobster, spotted moray eels, garden eels, and queen angelfish are just some of the Caribbean marine life you may see on your dive.

On the day of the dive, we will decide on the specific site. This keeps us flexible to dive and have the best weather conditions. A PADI professional instructor guides the dives on every activity and we are flexible on the time so you and your buddies can relax and enjoy the day.
